Summary
- Pride and Prejudice is a classic novel set in early 19th-century England, centered around Elizabeth Bennet, a smart and spirited young woman from a respectable but not wealthy family. The story explores themes of love, social class, and personal growth as Elizabeth navigates complex relationships, particularly with the proud and reserved Mr. Darcy. Initially clashing due to misunderstandings and preconceived notions, Elizabeth and Darcy gradually come to understand and respect each other, ultimately finding love. The novel is celebrated for its wit, memorable characters, and keen social commentary.
