Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the HPL has made changes to its mode of operations. Here is a list of the current changes:
For the safety of our patrons and staff, the Library is currently closed to the public.
Our north drop boxes are operational once again.
Patrons may call us at 515-332-1925 for daily, contactless, pick up of materials at our north entrance. These times include: Monday (9:30-7:30), Tuesday through Friday (9:30-5:00), & Saturday (9:00-2:30).
Patrons may call and request materials. They may also email staff and reserve materials via our on-line card catalog. The staff utilizes the library Facebook and web-site pages to promote the on-line card catalog, reader advisory, and downloadable material, etc., along with Facebook at-home activities/programming. At the discretion of staff, materials may be held for cleaning and sanitizing.
